About

Hi! I'm Susanna, flower farmer florist at One Small Seed. Wife to Keith; Mum to Anna, Marshall and Spaniels Roxy & Tess.
Back in 2020, I started experimenting in our garden and it wasn't long before I realised I LOVE growing armfuls of flowers, more than I'd ever imagined possible ... I'd been bitten by the flower growing bug and was determined to start growing on scale. In 2021, I took the plunge full-time and poured my passion for flowers and business into building a flower farm that offers truly seasonal and sustainable flowers.
The Mission is simple; to spread joy through locally grown flowers; bringing truly seasonal, specialty varieties to the local community without having to compromise our planet. I look forward to sharing the joy of the field with you this season!
As a flower farmer and seasonal florist, seasonality plays an important part in what my offer looks like for the year. As the seasons change, so do the flowers, here's some guidance on what you can expect:
January & February: Out of season. Dried flowers and Eucalyptus available. Valentinte's Bouquets are made using British early season Tulips with Irish foliage.
March, April, May & June: Early season. Mother's Day will be supported by British and Irish. By April the local season is here and the first polytunnel and field crops available. Anemones, Narsissi,Tulips & Ranunculus. Peonies are supplemented with British & Irish.
July, August, September, October: Peak season. A wide range of homegrown varieties available. Sunflowers, Dahlias, Snapdragons. Chrysanthemums are supplemented with locally grown.
November & December: Late season. The fresh flowers are finished and move into gorgeous foliage and fresh wreaths. Eucalyptus is supplemented with local and Irish.
Thank you for supporting our family business.
